Weekend fun event - Moose Meet

Yup, it's time again for the annual Muriwai Moose Meet - the longest standing traction kiting event in New Zealand! The details as posted on the Kiteworks website are below:-

The 2009 15th Annual Muriwai Moose Meet
2 days of hardcore kite buggy ,power kite and kite surfing action
Come prepared for wild west coast weather
When:
Saturday & Sunday the 17th and 18th of October
Tides:
Sat 18th low tide 3:37 pm 4WD`s drive on at 12:30pm \ drive off at 4:30pm
Sun 19th low tide 4:20 pm 4WD`s drive on at 1:15pm \ drive off at 5:30pm
(times have been adjusted for daylight savings)
Sunrise and Sunset is: 6:33am and 7:39pm
The moon will be full dark on the 18th

Muriwai Beach on the west coast ,west of Auckland

The beach and dunes are awesome for the buggy addicts and the 'lagoon' at the south side of the Kaipara harbour entrance offers world class kitesurfing for the more experienced!
